Bunk Records

Independent NZ label of the early eighties. Created by The Knobz and music writer Mike Alexander. When the band signed to WEA, they left the label in charge of Mike Alexander, who then moved the distribution to CBS. Their slogan was "helping young bands get on to vinyl". In 1981 Bunk released a dozen singles. By early 1982 the label had ceased trading and most of its catalogue remains unavailable although the Beat Rhythm Fashion tracks were compiled and reissued by Christchurch label Failsafe Records in 2009.
