Studio DR

We started dreaming about the studio in 1977. In communist days there was no way anybody could make their own recordings. Radio and television studios were all standardized into ugly and unfriendly places. Walls with metal padding, (but at least they were non-flammable!) The vision of the studio was a direct result of our beliefs. As Christians – Protestants – we wanted to influence people through music. At that time this was very ambitious thinking but finally, in 1986, we went into production . From that time, the studio started building its reputation as „the best in Poland”. Acoustic consultant was Rupert Neve himself, (recording electronics genius, maker of Neve consoles, later Focusrite and now Rupert Neve Designs). The standard of the studio was on a par with studios in London. Even now, we use much of the original equipment and many of the instruments, all regularly serviced and maintained. We always used the „professional approach” that means artists are to have the highest comfort of working and an inspiring atmosphere, so they can be fully focused and not disturbed by any external matters. It’s hard to count all the songs that were written here and in the surrounding scenery. We’ve made records of hundreds of bands, experienced many great artistic, emotional and spiritual moments, that will remain in our memory forever. The owner of Studio DR is DeoRecordings Association which also runs Radio CCM, Radio Fest, CCM Media, an internet music shop. In 2013 Studio was completely refurbished and is now better than ever!
