Rothko Chapel

The Rothko Chapel was dedicated in 1971. It was founded by Houston philanthropists John & Dominique de Menil as an intimate sanctuary, and made available to people of every belief. It is an environment inspired by the paintings of, Russian born, American painter Mark Rothko (1903-1970).
