The Venue opened in London's Victoria in 1978, owned by Virgin records and styled on The Bottom Line in New York .
Before it's occupancy by Virgin it was The Metropole Cinema and provided the setting for a scene in David Lean's 1945 classic 'Brief Encounter'.
Half supper club and half trendy nightclub, you could eat there and see bands as diverse as Suzi Quatro, Dan Hicks, Stray Cats and The Sun Ra Arkestra
The premises were subsequently occupied by an Italian restaurant chain, 'Ask'.
