BMG Ariola AB

The Swedish unit of BMG, began operation in the late 1980s, with the acquisition of The Record Station and the bankruptcy of RCA's licensee in Sweden, Grammofon AB Electra. The label became BMG Sweden AB in 1995 after the acquisition of Ricochet Records the previous year. It would be Sony BMG Music Entertainment (Sweden) AB in 2005, and its catalogue are now owned by Sony Music Entertainment Sweden AB (2009 onwards).
