Carisch S.p.A.

Carisch was founded in 1887 by Giovanni Andrea Carisch and Arturo Jänichen with the aim of import and trading of scores and musical instruments. In 1894 the business extends to the musical publishing trade thanks to the aid of his two sons Otto and Adolfo. Furthermore in 1949 with the support of Alberto Carisch, they also found a recording company with the aim of publishing the productions of their own authors. In 1989 Maurizio, representative of the 5th generation of the Carisch family, decides to sell the property of Carisch to the Italian Warner Chappel Music. Under the leadership of Warner process of internationalization starts: in 1993 Nueva Carisch España S.L. borns. It acquires the Music Distribucion catalogue in 2000 and the publishing branch of Real Musical in 2005. In this way Nueva Carisch España becomes market leader in Spain for didactic, classical and pop music scores. In 1998 in France, first with the acquisition of the Imp France catalog and then, in 1999, with the acquisition of Musicom, the new company Carisch Musicom S.A. is established. In 2002 Monzino Group purchases Carisch. In 2008 Carisch becomes a S.p.A. company, centre of the renovate Monzino Group and becomes also the production branch of the company. Two separate divisions are settled: the first one following the path of publishing didactic scores and distributing entry level musical instruments. The second which focuses on the production of P.A System and the trading of professional and high level instruments. During 2011 Carisch sales offices were transferred from Milan area to Lainate (MI), where the warehouse, the publishing and the audio production, but especially the operational and administrative offices of the Holding, Monzino S.p.A., were already previously located. Carisch catalogue includes today 18.000 printed books, with an own production of more than 4.000 titles. The musical instruments distribution includes property brands as Roadster drums, Panther electrical guitar, and both professional and entry level P.A. systems such as M1750, MyAudio, XXL and DAG.
