ASR Recording Service

Independent tape duplication company established in 1974 by Sani Rothberg and Al Weintraub. The first plant was located in Fairfield, NJ, and later moved to Glen Rock, NJ. The New Jersey locations were referred to as ASR East. In the late 1970s, a West Coast factory was established in the Chatworth section of Los Angeles, CA. Full legal name ASR Recording Service Of California, Inc.. The company was bought by DOCdata N.V. in December 1997 and integrated into their DOCdata USA company "DOCData California Inc."
