Mid 1960's California based electronics holding company founded by Stan Freeman; acquired by Bell & Howell Company, Chicago in 1967. Divisions: American Recording Tape (raw magnetic tape;) Stereotape (contract manufacturing and distribution;) Stereo Tapes, Inc (S.T.I.)(1960) in partnership with Burt Harris (pres. Harriscope Productions to market Audio Arts tape library. Revived in 1962 for Reprise (Sinatra, Les Baxter.)
