Hede Nielsens Fabriker A/S
Настоящее имя: Hede Nielsens Fabriker A/S
Danish record plant, later named Hede Nielsen A/S. Danish manufacturer, distributor and license holder for the RCA catalogue from 1950's into the 1970's.
Hede Nielsen as company was founded November 16th 1906 as: "Horsens Cykellager" on the adress: Hestedamsgade 15, Horsens. It startet with production of bicycles and -parts but later on it took up production of mopeds, among the brands: Brandenborg, Velovap and Wittler. In 1918 it started to produce industrial gasses.
Most significant was in 1955 when they took up production of electronic equipments (TV-sets, stereo, radios etc.) under the brand: "Arena" (In Discogs Arena (19)). In the 60's it was the biggest manufacturer in Denmark at that segment and still produced 25% of the bicycle-production in Denmark. After getting a big contract for export the factory produced a big number of TV-sets but unfortunately the full warehouse burned down in 1970.
After the fire the factory was rebuild in association with English company "Rank" under the new brand: "Rank Arena" but never got the same amount of success. Some more effort was done to revitalize production but in 1979 the radio-era was over and out.
Today Hede-Nielsen is associated with Air-Liquide's Danish office and a social fund supporting art, cultural events and science.
