Expanded into music publishing with subsidiary Welk Music Group's aquistion of the Harry Von Tilzer catalog in 1957. Since diversified into event promotions; motion picture and video distribution; hotels and residential property management. The family remain active partners through the The Welk Group, Inc., Escondido, CA.
