HMV Concert Classics

"Concert classics" series established in Nov 1959 under the label His Master's Voice. Original releases on the series can be identified by the credit E.M.I. Records Limited on the sleeve, later copies from 1965 or later carry the credit "E.M.I. Records (The Gramophone Co. Ltd.) A reviewer in Gramophone (Oct 1961, p. 206) states that the first STEREO release in the series is SXLP20025. Adverts for the series prior to this date (Dec 1959) only mention MONO pressings. Stereo pressings are likely all after 1961.
