Shambotic Recordings

Originally set up as a digital streaming label by The Music Liberation Front to show and help people to do it themselves on a DIY no budget way during the pandemic. Soon collaborating with like minded labels and artist, including Old Bad Habits Label, Breaking Down Recordings, NoMen Records, Ron Johnson Records, Cloud Recordings, Raving Pop Blast!, Detour, Spinout Nuggets, Plastique Recordings, A Communications Unique and artists such as Damo Suzuki, Justin Liquid Anderson, Davey Woodward, Pete Astor, Tim Vass, Sean Dickson, Robert Sekula, Jim Shepherd, Steve Duffield amongst many. (Goto “spotify seach” and type “label: shambotic” Also helping on the Old Bad Habits Label Fanzine to help fund the first Athens Pop Festival in May 2023 featuring many of the labels connected artists. It all began in the mid 90’s with Electronic Watusi Boogaloo brand (Kindercore/Vibrafon/PPQ) and the Ultra Wide Band who’s first release was Biowire. Whom also kicked off the Shambotic releases and also masters much of the material a task shared with Simon Holliday who also releases on the label under several monikers. By the end of 2023 they will have had over 500 releases. In 2023 they are changing and readjusting.
