La Basilica Studios

Located in Milano, Italy Basilica di Sant'Eufemia (Milano) Featuring a remarkable acoustics in the fifties the church was used as a recording studio by the soprano Maria Callas, who recorded here three operas: The Puritans and Cavalleria rusticana (1953) and La Sonnambula (1957). The Basilica was used since the seventies until 1982 by singer Mina to record his songs and artists belonging to the PDU record label owned by the singer and his father Giacomo Mazzini. In more recent times the church has welcomed the funeral of Nilla Pizzi.
