Island Mobile
Настоящее имя: Island Mobile
One of the few dedicated remote recording facilities available to groups in the UK in the 1970s. Prior to his acquisition of the UMRK Mobile the Island Mobile was used by Frank Zappa for capturing the band's performance at London's Hammersmith Odeon, with tracks recorded on 24-track analog.
In the 1970s Chris Blackwell financed Dick Swettenham (at Olympic Studios) to build his unique consoles as the Helios company. One such Helios console was used in the Island Mobile. Helios was later commissioned by Richard Branson to build units for both The Manor, Manor Mobile and Town House.
