Kranskommun Records

Kranskommun Records is a Stockholm-based record label focussing on exploratory bare-bones techno as well as ambient, jungle, hardcore and other associated genres of electronic music. The label is run by artists Influencer (3) and Arbiter (3), with in-house mastering by Car-Fer and art direction by "AH". In Swedish, the bureaucratic term "Kranskommun" is loosely translated as " adjacent municipality", - a concept which is reflected in the ambition to bring together artists in a far-reaching area toward a common center and to produce releases with a focus on collective expression rather than individual. The label operates in two layers: the main, techno-focused one where the catalogue number ends in numbers, and the so called "Alphabet series" where the catalogue number ends in a letter, – this sub-series of the label is dedicated to non-techno releases like jungle, ambient, idm or house.
