Metal Hammer

For Greek releases with the according branding use: Metal Hammer & Heavy Metal. Monthly music magazine devoted to the 'heavy metal' genre - regularly releasing covermounts, samplers, compilations and albums in several countries. Initially issued in the U.K in the early 1980s, the magazine was then successfully marketed in Germany, followed by a roll-out over the years of multilingual issues published in 11 different languages across the globe. The Metal Hammer branding also features in festival promotion, TV & video. The magazine concept was founded as Metalhammer UK Ltd., by Wilfried F. Rimensberger, who eventually sold that company and rights to German publisher Jürgen Wigginghaus.
