Zappa Family Trust
Настоящее имя: Zappa Family Trust
Legal entity which holds title and copyright to Frank Zappa's musical and artistic products, as well as his commercial image and intellectual property. (Acronym on works often as ZFT).
The trust was overseen by Gail Zappa until her death, whilst son Ahmet Zappa also plays a high-profile role. Upon full control of the works in 2012, the Trust formed a CD package deal with Universal Music Enterprises covering a roll-out, from the summer of 2012, of 56 reissues from Zappa's back catalogue. The 56 remastered CD works, gathered from the FZ Vault Archive, became available as a complete mail-order set (on monthly release availability) as "Frank Zappa - 56 Original Masters by The Maestro in Chronological order - 1966 - 1993" under cat# ZP10COMBO. Ordered from the ZFT's "Barfko-Swill" the CDs were also released by mail-order in sets of 12 - the initial set was #ZP09COMBO [1966-72], the 2nd #ZP11COMBO [1972-79], the 3rd #ZP12COMBO [1979-84], the 4th #ZP13COMBO [1984-91] and the 5th (as "One Dozen Masters"), with a revision of date content to include a 2012 working, issued from 14 Dec 2012. Each CD, one for USA and one for UK & Euro market, also made available singularly.
