EMI Music Colombia S.A.

The Colombian affiliate of British multinational, started its operation in 1995 as EMI Colombia S.A.. The "Music" word was added to the company name in 1998-1999. Before EMI started operating in Colombia, album released by EMI from other countries (including Spanish-speaking countries) in Colombia were distributed through Sony Music Entertainment (Colombia) S.A., which was known until 1990-1991 as Discos CBS, S.A., Colombia.
