Ambience (4)

A series of three albums composed by Chip Davis and incorporating nature sounds he recorded. Early copies of Bird Song and Summer Songwere credited solely "by Chip Davis," but later copies, and all copies of Autumn Song, added an artist credit to Mannheim Steamroller. All three albums were released as single-disc CDs and as CD+DVD double-packs, as part of the DVD Music series. The CD of each album is the standard "music with ambience" mix combining Davis' music and nature sounds, similar to Solitudes - Exploring Nature With Music. The DVDs included this mix, as well as "music only" and "ambience only" mixes (the latter being similar to Solitudes - Environmental Sound Experiences). At least three further albums were planned, and got at least as far as having cover art designed, but were never completed: Ocean Song, Night Song, and Desert Song.
