Love Productions Limited

Canadian record company established by Francis W. Davies in April 1970. It encompassed the label Daffodil Records, the design company Daffodil Design, the management company Love Management, and the publishing companies Love-Lies-Bleeding Music and Freewheeled Music. Distribution was originally handled by Capitol Records (Canada) Ltd. and A&R was originally handled by Ronnie Hawkins. Crowbar (3) was initially meant to be the house band that would back solo artists. In late 1971 the company established the label Strawberry (4) as an outlet for Top 40 pop product.
