MSR Studios

A New York City recording studio that operated from 2009 until 2016. Originally founded as Right Track Recording in 1976 by Dave Amlen, it merged with Simon Andrews (2)'s Sound On Sound, New York studio in 2005 and operated as Legacy Recording Studios until 2009 when Amlen acquired the business and renamed it MSR Studios. At the time of MSR's decommissioning, which began in March and ended when it ceased operations on June 30, 2016, Bradshaw Leigh was serving as its General Manager and Chief Engineer. Purportedly the largest full service recording studio in Manhattan, it inhabited 14,000 square feet of space in three buildings with three primary studios: A, B, and C.
