Copperfield Sound Studios

Recording studios originally located in Sydney, Australia, but now re-located to the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. The studios were originally established as Top Spot Studios by David Gibson (19) in an old shop in Hurstville, Sydney, with the associated label Top Spot. In 1966, the studios moved to Surry Hills, Sydney, and were renamed Sound66 Recording Studios, again with the associated label 66 Sound. In 1967, the studio name was changed once more, this time to Copperfield Sound Studios (with the associated label Copperfield (2)), followed by a move to Darling Harbour, Sydney, in 1971. Finally, in 1990, the studios re-located to the Gold Coast.
