Chom FM
Настоящее имя: Chom FM
Montreal's legendary CHOM-FM evolved from it's parent CKGM in 1971 when original host Doug Pringle was given the opportunity to air more youth-based eclectic music, effectively making it Quebec's first alternative underground station. Beginning in 1978, CHOM-FM sponsored yearly talent competitions of (essentially) unsigned local artists, tantalizing and rewarding competitors by featuring the winners' CHOM-produced recordings on the station's own privately funded commerative sampler albums. CHOM released albums most (but not every) year (vinyl from 1978-1985, and CD's from 1994 to 2002).
