Robin Hood Dell outdoor amphitheater in East Fairmount Park, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was founded in 1930 as the summer home for the The Philadelphia Orchestra. From 1930 to 1976, The Philadelphia Orchestra was presented as The Robin Hood Dell Orchestra Of Philadelphia for this summer concert series. The series moved in 1976 into a new facility Robin Hood Dell West (which was renamed in 1979 as the Mann Music Center and in 2000 as the Mann Center for the Performing Arts in 1998) in West Fairmount Park with an approximate capacity of about 14,000 in 1976. Then after the Robin Hood Dell amphitheater was renamed first as Robin Hood Dell East (1976–2013) and then Dell Music Center (2013–).
In 2010, the Dell underwent a comprehensive $6.2 million upgrade to restore the facility to its original use and splendor. It boasts 5,344 reserved seats, with an additional 600 lawn seats.
