JVC Disc America was a US manufacturer of CDs and DVDs under parent company JVC Disc America Co. and was a subsidiary of JVC America, Inc. The company operated two plants in the US; one in Tuscaloosa, AL (this one) and one in Sacramento, CA. Discs manufactured at this plant usually have "MFD BY JVC" in the matrix, or stamped in the hub An SID code stamped in the hub indicates a manufacturing date of 1994 or later. Discs that were manufactured at the AL plant will often have "IFPI 4101" stamped in the hub, however, in some cases "IFPI 4111" or "IFPI 4121" may be present.
