Cultures Électroniques
Настоящее имя: Cultures Électroniques
Cultures Électroniques is a series of compilations, produced by a French electroacoustic music center IMEB – Institut international de musique électroacoustique de Bourges, and documenting winning works from Concours International de Musique Electroacoustique, a prestigious electroacoustic competition organized by IMEB since 1973. Twenty volumes on 38 compact discs (most releases are 2xCD), issued from 1986 to 2007, include all 189 prize-winning compositions from 141 composers representing 29 countries, serving as an international reference directory for the Bourges Competition.
The first compilation, Cultures Électroniques 1, was released on CD and vinyl in 1986 by Le Chant Du Monde label, distributed by Harmonia Mundi. Volumes 2-5 were also released by Le Chant Du Monde, until around 1994 IMEB established Mnémosyne Musique Média in-house publishing and distribution company, and the contract with Le Chant/Harmonia Mundi was terminated. Nevertheless, Mnémosyne Musique continued to use LDC xxxxxx catalog numbers for all further releases.
