Recording, production, mastering and (originally) lacquer cutting studio located in Painesville, Ohio (USA), a suburb of Cleveland. Suma was founded by the late Ken Hamann in 1976. The studio was owned by his son, Paul Hamann, until his death in 2017. It is currently operated by Michael Seifert.
Michael Bishop was studio manager between 1976-1988.
Lacquer cuts can be identified by "Suma" etched in the runouts, accompanied by the initials of the engineer (PH for Paul Hamann or MB for Michael Bishop).
