Astor Recording Studios

New Zealand recording studio in Auckland. Initially in Shortland Street in the city, and later (from the mid-1960s) in Nugent Street, Mt Eden. Active from the 1940s. Many of the recordings done for the Tanza label in the the 1950s were done here. Best known later for the work of Wahanui Wynyard. With the move to Nugent Street it was renamed Astor Recording & TV Studios Ltd.
