Dutch company that produced documenting systems and financial archives, nowadays a media company that publishes puzzle and game books.
Short timeline for the Keesing brand:
Keesing was founded as publisher in 1911 by Isaäc Keesing jr. as "Systemen Keesing" and soon obtained their own pressing facility.
In 1930 they published their first puzzle books.
In 1955 "Keesing France" was founded and in 1975 they settled in Paris.
In 1997, Keesing took over the Danish puzzle publishers "POB" en "Interpress", (see A/S Interpresse.)
At the end of the 1990's Keesing focused on the publishing activities and closed their pressing/printing activities.
In 2006, the family business Keesing was sold to TMG.
In 2017, TMG sold Keesing to the Belgian investment company Ergon Capital. TMG kept 30% of the shares, Ergon owned 60% and the Keesing management kept 10% of the shares.
After 2017, Keesing took over a series of other companies in Europe, mainly other puzzle publishers.
In November 2020, Keesing was taken over by the British investment company BC Partners.
