Cap Exports

Manufacturing and distribution company based in Chicago, Illinois. C.A.P. Exports started exporting releases to the Mexican market around the late '70's or early '80's. With a name change to C.W. Paas Inc. the company became incorporated in the early '80's. At this stage Cap Exports started distributing for local Chicago labels. Even if often named as a distributor, Cap Exports was also involved in the pressing and reissuing of many releases. At the end of the '90's a deal was struck with Trax Records to repress and re-release some of it's, and it's associated labels, back catalog. The company is still active to this day. Owned and run by Walter Paas who was also behind Danica Records. Brett Wilcots who would later create Gherkin Records was also working here. See also C.W. Paas Inc.
