MediaMotion was a Dutch CDs and DVDs replication company.
It was established in 2003 by ECF Group and quickly grew through a series of acquisitions in the same year. First, it acquired the Cinram plant in Amersfoort, followed by assets of Record Service Benelux and finally the Metatec Corporation in Breda.
In June 2004, MediaMotion took over EMI's manufacturing and distribution activities in Uden and became the exclusive producer and distributor for EMI Records (UK & Mainland Europe). The activities in Uden were known as "Mediamotion Manufacturing".
In the same year, Mediamotion also acquired kdg Netherlands b.v., located in Weesp. The activities in Weesp discontinued soon after and moved to Amersfoort.
Early in 2005, Mediamotion acquired Care4Data out of a bankruptcy. After the takeover, the Care4Data companies were renamed to MediaMotion C4D. The Dutch Mediamotion C4D was closed down later that year, along with the Mediamotion plant in Amersfoort.
2006 saw further acquisitions for the Group in the UK (Workflow UK Limited) and in France (Digital Valley).
In 2008 EMI ended their exclusive contract with MediaMotion. As a result, Mediamotion Manufacturing went bankrupt and was relaunched as Mediamotion Disk. This only lasted until the end of the year. On December 31st 2008 the company was closed down. Sister company Mediamotion Data B.V., located in Breda, continued and changed its name to Promese. This included Workflow UK Ltd. as well.

Matrix also includes a 6-digit pattern, starting with 010, 020, 030 or 040. Sometimes it will include the pattern inherited from EMI UDEN in the form X-X-X-NL. A good example will be Somewhere In Time, which includes both variations.
