El Cortijo Studio

Spanish recording studios. Former residential studio in Marbella (near Málaga), Andalucia. In operation ca 1994 to 2013. From ca 1994, it was managed by studio owner and session drummer Trevor Morais. A second owner, Ernie from Montreal, was also in the picture around 2002. At the start of 2008, the studio was incorporated by the Miloco group, in partnership with Trevor Morais. Based in a 7-bedroom Andalucian villa, El Cortijo became the first facility Miloco opened outside of the UK, however the studio closed in 2013. After closure, Trevor moved the studio gear to storage in Estepona where parts were sold. The former El Cortijo is now solely used as a luxury holiday villa.
