American music publisher, affiliated to BMI. Incorporated 8 July 1953, dissolved 25 September 2009. Imprint of the Hal Leonard Corporation. Also appears as "ARC Music Corporation", "ARC Music Co." or "Arc M. Corp." Please consider also ARC (9), Arc Music (2), Arc Music Corp. Ltd. and ARC Music Inc., when credited that way on release. In 1953, Leonard Chess of Chess and Checker, and Gene Goodman of Regent Music and Harmony Music (3) set up Arc Music, a publishing company that would publish songs of many rhythm and blues artists.
