US based publishing (holding) company. Formerly known as The Okeh Music Publishing Company from September 3, 1948 until February 27, 1953, when the name was changed to April Music Inc. The company would later form the backbone of CBS Inc. publishing operations, alongside sister company Blackwood Music Inc. In 1986 CBS Inc's publishing arm was acquired by SBK Entertainment World Inc., following this acquisition April Music Inc. was subsequently renamed SBK April Music Inc.
