Recording studio in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, also known as Manta Sound Company. The studio started operations in July, 1971 but officially opened on November 4, 1971. In 1986 it became the first all-digital recording studio in Canada. In August 1991 it merged with Eastern Sound to form Manta/Eastern Sound. Space was made for the Eastern studio set up by Manta moving post-production, video and some recording facilities a few blocks away to the Ontario Street branch Manta Digital Sound And Picture. Closed in early 2000s when the Manta Sound studio complex, an architectural gem, was demolished to make room for a condominium and the remaining recording studio facilities were moved to the Ontario Street address.
