ince 2005, ALEA (a French word for "haps of life") has supported musical creation, mainly in the field of contemporary jazz, under Olivier de Bethmann and Jean-Noël Relier’s voluntary leadership. It has produced tons of concerts, four major artistic residencies, ten albums, and numerous videos. It has hired more than fifty musicians, has teamed with more than twenty regular partners (sound engineers, recording studios, instrument makers, backliners, graphic designers, photographers, video makers, record labels, distributors, promotion and booking agencies, artistic federations, collective rights management companies), and has dealt with countless concert organizers throughout France and Europe. In 2015 ALEA moved up to a label, and since then has released Pierre de Bethmann’s both trio albums (Essais / Vol 1 to 4), Medium Ensemble albums (Sisyphe, Exo, and Todhe Todhe), special project Shifters, and has reissued ilium's albums (ilium, Complexe, and three upcoming others)
