Cloud City Studio (later renamed to Cloud City Studios) is a recording studio owned and operated by musician and producer Mike Hasty in the Greater Detroit Area, in Michigan, USA. It was founded in the mid-1990's. Originally located within Detroit itself (on Beaverland Street), it first relocated to Redford, Michigan, then to Garden City, Michigan, and is now located in Waterford Township, Michigan.
Other assistant engineers and producers who have worked there over the years include Jason Clifton, Chris Mueller (3), Kevin Kroeger, Nick Morris (6), Bart Williams (2) and Drew Watson. Cloud City was formerly the official recording studio of record label +/- Records, operated by Hasty's friend and former band-mate Andy Dempz.
Do not confuse with the Portland, Oregon-based recording studio Cloud City Sound, which is operated by Justin Phelps and Rick McMillen.
