The Plant Studios

Use only when credited as "The Plant". Otherwise use Record Plant, N.Y.C., Record Plant, Los Angeles or Record Plant, Sausalito as on release. Formerly known as Record Plant, Sausalito, located at 2200 Bridgeway, it was the third 'Record Plant' studio created by Gary Kellgren. In 1983 the studio changed ownership and was renamed simply "The Plant;" in April, 2008 facilities were closed, at which point disc mastering services were no longer offered. Former mastering engineer John Cuniberti offers mixing and mastering services under his own name. "The Plant"/"The Record Plant Sausalito" reopened on On June 19, 2021, its name changed to "Sausalito Record Factory."
