State Of Art Studios

Defunct recording studio that was located in Easton, Bristol, UK. Moved to the district of Bedminster in Bristol and became Invada Studios. The studio was opened commercially by Julian Hill in 1991. At that time the facility provided recording services and rehearsal rooms. The engineers there were Julian Hill, Shaun Atkins and Dave McDonald (2). By 1997 Geoff Barrow from Portishead had bought into the studio and it was privatised for a time. By late 1999 the studio underwent a massive equipment revamp and it was reopened to the public together with the appointment of Stuart Matthews as manager and Rick Dowding as chief engineer.
