WASEDA University

Waseda University (早稲田大学, abbreviated as Sōdai 早大) is a second private university in Japan mainly located in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Established in 1882 as the Tōkyō Senmon Gakkō (Tokyo College) by 17th prime minister of Japan Ōkuma Shigenobu, today Waseda University is considered to be one of Japan's most prestigious schools, consistently ranking amongst the top universities in the country.
