Germanofon

Unofficial CD label of unknown origin existing 1994 to 1997, with well-over 100 Krautrock related releases, mostly manufactured in Czech Republic (there is none in Luxembourg). All Germanofon releases should be marked "Unofficial" Only those with "Un produit Luxembourgeois" should be noted so (else leave Country blank). Others without a label name with numbering 941??? can be listed as Germanofon. Identifying Germanofon releases: Only the first 24 releases bore the name Germanofon. They often had the text "Un produit Luxembourgois" on the disc label and also GEMA as rights society. Releases 941025 to 941119 only had a catalogue number, or additional fake identifiers like OSA, ACD, TSP, etc. A typical early Germanofon matrix looks like this: 40714 ✳ 941.009 ✳1 (glass master date* ✳ catalogue number ✳ pressing version). In this case * is 14 July 1994. From 941047 to 941119, matrix rings just had the Germanofon catalogue number, nothing else. A few identifying logo and text pictures are added to this label page. Another label/series of releases from the same people was HF HF 9511 to HF 9556 (list those as HF not Germanofon). Identifying fake Germanofon releases: Any releases after 1997, or catalogue numbers 941120+ are fake Germanofon. Any with barcodes, IFPI codes or identifiable pressing plants are fake Germanofon.
