Praxis Technologies Inc.

Praxis was Canada's first CD pressing plant, which started production on June 26, 1986, in Mississauga, Ontario. The first CD pressed by Praxis was "Play The Beatles" by Toronto cellist Ofra Harnoy. In financial difficulty, the company was acquired by CInram Ltd. in July 1988. First president of the company: Michael Sifton (member of the family that controls Armadale Co. Ltd.). Praxis matrices have a pattern of: PRAXIS xxxxx-y When entering as LCCN, only enter the "xxxxx" part (see Over 60 Minutes With...Luba as an example).
