Bertelsmann De Mexico, S.A.

Mexican office of the German multinational mass media corporation Bertelsmann AG. The record company began operations in 1979 issuing Ariola & Arista releases to the Mexican market. In 1985 Bertelsmann AG acquired 100% of RCA from General Electric thus changing the Mexico office name to RCA/Ariola Internacional, S. De R.L. De C.V. In 1987, the RCA, Arista, and Ariola labels were united to create Bertelsmann Music Group (BMG).
