Dutch commercial radio station. After a change in the Dutch media law in 1991, which allowed the start of commercial radio, several DJs from the then public radio station Veronica formed Radio 538. It started in 1992 as a cable radio station. In 1995 Radio 538 got an FM frequency.
Since January 2012 Radio 538 is part of the Talpa Media Holding B.V. It is one of the most popular radio stations in the Netherlands.
