The Odeon Astoria was a venue in Finsbury Park, London that operated under this name between 1939 and 1970. It was also known as the Finsbury Park Astoria and later the Rainbow Theatre London
Alternate names: Finsbury Park Astoria Theatre (1930–39), Odeon Astoria (1939–70), The Odeon (17.11.1970–71) and then Rainbow Theatre 4.11.1971–24.12.1981) .
Built as a cinema in 1930, it later became well known as a music venue in the 1960s & 1970s. Rainbow Theatre closed on 24 December 1981 and the building lay empty and largely disused for the next 14 years. In 1995, the building was taken over by its current owners, the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, a Brazilian Pentecostal church, who began work restoring the building and turning it into a church.
Not to be confused with the London Astoria, which was a different venue located on Charing Cross Road.
