Importøren

Importøren was a Danish chain store specialized in selling all kinds of hardware and kitchen utilities produced at Danish factories. The main office was located at Sankt Peders Stræde 28 in central Copenhagen, with 115 retail stores all over Denmark at it's peak. In the 1950's Importøren released vinyl records under it's own brand. The catalog numbers are derived from the matrix numbers appearing on the labels. Example: The catalog number "IM 631" on Importørens Ønskeplade Nr. 1 is derived from the matrix numbers "IM 631A" on the A-side label and "IM 631 B" on the B-side label, respectively.
