Machine Funk is a twelve vinyl records project created by Phillip Washington (2) (Cygnus) and Alek Stark. "Machine Funk" 12 vinyl records of cybernetic electro funk. A dense collection of experimental compositions and synthetic, man-machine beauty created by Cygnus which fuse with the dance-floor to perfection. 12 vinyl records full of warm vocoders, multilayered acidic sequences that will send shivers down your spine. Inspired by the miniseries "Machine Man", 1984's classic comic created by Barry Windsor-Smith, the project itself tells a story. A story which takes you to a near future dominated by mega-corporations. A dystopian paradise where a group of technology raiders, known as the Midnight Wreckers, recover the dismantled remains of an old machine with human appearances inside of a dumpster."
