Blue Hat Records (2)
Настоящее имя: Blue Hat Records (2)
Blue Hat, owned by Tony Hill (13), released its first single, 'Boogie Town', by The Poole Family (BHS-1), as late as November 1979. The vast majority of its records appeared in the '80s. The BHS prefix seems to have been replaced by a BHR one fairly early on; BHR-8 came out in December 1982, BHR-52 in 1987. The vast majority of numbers seem not to have been used. Distribution was by Pinnacle. The label is mainly notable for the fact that it released a single by a band called Graduate, 'Mad One' (5-BHR; 1980), which featured Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith, soon to be in Tears For Fears. Christopher MacAdams has a site dedicated to the band, which features a page about Blue Hat Records. Orzabal also produced the Poole Family single.
