Later subsidiary of the southern Florida group founded c.1945 as the American Recording And Transcription Service, Inc. by former CBS-TV recording engineer-producer Harold E. Doane. Recorded "live" on board Norweigian Cruise Liners and, as the name states, intended for the passenger/tourist audiences.
