Arthur Magazine
Настоящее имя: Arthur Magazine
Arthur was an American music magazine founded in October 2002 by publisher Laris Kreslins (creator of popular music publications Sound Collector and Audio Review) and editor Jay Babcock (contributor to L.A. Weekly and Mojo magazine.) Issued every two months, Arthur was particularly drawn to noise, stoner metal, folk, and psychedelia. The magazine featured photos and artworks from such artists as Spike Jonze, Art Spiegelman, Gary Panter and Godspeed You Black Emperor! and regular columnists included Byron Coley, Thurston Moore, Daniel Pinchbeck, Douglas Rushkoff, and T-Model Ford.
The magazine also released CDs and DVDs on their own [Bastet] label. Arthur curated a few music festivals in Los Angeles: Arthurfest at Barnsdall Park in 2005, Arthur Ball at Echo Park and Arthur Nights at The Palace Theater in 2006.
Arthur was officially closed in 2011, with a comeback announced at the end of 2012. Only three print issues were published the next year, until the magazine finally closed both online and printed versions in March 2014.
